WHen I was a teen i had over 30 penpals! Can you believe it? I wrote letters, made book marks, used stickers and sent several letters out every day.
I did have a favorite penpal named Vanessa. She always included alot of artsy handmade notions in her letters. We keep in touch on facebook today.
I recently signed up for Swap-bot. Swap bot is like a modern pen-pal association to me.
Some swaps are a bit more than letter writing, but most are of little to no cost.
--the cost of postage and time.

Our home interview ended a little before 8 o'clock last night.
Hopefully it will be ready within the week to send to HKI and DCF.
It is a nice feeling to be closer to our foster babes.
It made me happy to hear that our FDS worker wishes we "were already licensed" because of our the cuteness of the kids room!

I had pen pals when I was younger, too. My dad is a minister and we traveled a lot when I was a kid and I made several good friends that I became pen pals with. We still keep in touch and see each other once in a while.
